Support the Hall

A charity, kept going by neighbours

Nobody here is paid. Every hire, every raffle ticket and every hour of volunteering keeps the roof on and the heating running.

Hire the Hall

Every booking, large or small, goes straight back into heating, lighting and repairs. Hiring the Hall is the single most useful thing anyone can do for it.

Come along

Turn up to whatever is on — a talk, a fair, a class. A well-used hall is a hall worth keeping.

Lend a hand

Trustees and volunteers keep the Hall running, from cutting the grass to putting out chairs. A couple of hours now and then makes a real difference.

Make a donation

One-off gifts and legacies pay for the bigger jobs — the roof, the heating, the floor. Get in touch and we will tell you exactly where it would go.

Where the money goes

Hire charges cover the everyday running of an old building: electricity, insurance, cleaning materials, small repairs. Bigger jobs — roof slates, heating, the floor — come out of fundraising, grants and donations, and for a small community that is quite a burden. Happily the work gets done, slowly but surely.

Registered charity no. 521378. We are always glad to hear from anyone willing to join the committee.
