Getting here
- By car: Far Sawrey is on the B5285 between the Windermere ferry and Hawkshead. There is a large car park at the Hall, including disabled parking, and level access up the slope to the main rooms.
- By ferry: the Bowness car ferry lands a short walk away — a pleasant fifteen minutes uphill into the village.
- On foot: footpaths link the Hall with Near Sawrey, Hill Top, Esthwaite Water and the lake shore.
- Nearby: The Cuckoo Brow Inn is opposite for food, drink and rooms, with the Tower Bank Arms half a mile away in Near Sawrey.
